Thymus vulgaris is also called common thyme or garden thyme. It is drought tolerant, which makes it nice for rock gardens and pots.
In organic gardens, English thyme attracts beneficial insects, including hoverflies. The bushy, evergreen plants have tiny, gray-green leaves and pinkish-white flowers.
